The Basics

My name is Tanner Grunt. I am currently a Senior at Colorado State University studying Computer Science. I grew up in Littleton, CO, but have lived all over the place recently. I love music, movies, cycling, and everything in between.

Education🎓

In my studies at Colorado State, I have covered a wide range of topics. Courses I have taken include (but are not limited to) Discrete Structures, Data Structures, Software Development, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Linear Algebra, Database Systems, Web Development, and Machine Learning. Languages covered include Java, Python, C, C++, MySQL, PostgreSQL, R, HTML, CSS, and PHP.
Fun Fact: A rudimentary version of this site was my Web Development final!

Not Education😎

Of course I've enjoyed school, but theres lots of stuff outside of studies that I take pride in too! I love spending time with my family, they are a huge support and have pushed me to keep growing and improving. With my friends I go on adventures, do late night In-N-Out runs, and lose a few bucks to them during our ocassional games of poker. I love watching and over-analyzing movies.The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Good Will Hunting are a couple of my favorites. I love to get out hiking and cycling when I can. I like music most of all, but I'll come back to that in a minute. I have worked as a Courtesy Clerk and Cashier at King Soopers, then as a Team Member at my college dining hall, and now as a Cashier at Bass Pro Shops. Each job has taught me a different set of skills that I carry with me every day.

Music🤘

Music is something that I have always loved. I remember growing up hearing my Grandpa play guitar and bass, hearing the way he could just mess around and create something groovy out of thin air. I wanted to do the same thing someday. My dad gave me his old electric guitar when I was a kid, but it didn't click until I took guitar class my freshman year of highschool. Since then I have continued to learn, progress, get frustrated, and noodle around. Most recently I have been mixing and mastering, trying to learn all the studio tricks that my favorite artists use. Beyond playing music, I am an avid listener and collect records (wallet permitting). Some of my favorite artists are Mac DeMarco, Polyphia, Metallica, Hozier, Led Zeppelin, and Coldplay.
